Camera gimbal section has come apart

Hi guys, I recently bought an Xplorer V and have been using it around New Zealand. great bit of kit
However, yesterday as I was taking the battery off, it seemed to be stuck. I have it a bit of an extra nudge and the battery stayed where it was but the camera gimbal flew off.
I checked it out and it looks like the bottom part has come away from the top part of the gimbal and there is a flex / ribbon cable showing that doesn't seem to want to go back in to the top section. Also the vibration dampers all need to be re-attached.
Does this cable just need to be inserted back in or does it need to be soldered in or anything. It goes back in the slot but there is nothing holding it into place. I thought there would be a catch or flap or something but I can't see anything.
Looks like this could be a tricky one to fix
Any help would be massively appreciated.
Cheers guys!
